Welcome To Birchgrove Web Designs
Welcome to Birchgrove Web Designs.
This is the first of hopefully many blogs I write to keep my readers up to date on our comings and goings, as well as my own internet notebook I can use to jot down web design notes, tips and tricks for future use for both myself and anyone who may stumble upon it.
After stuffing around with my life for years, jumping from job to job, COVID came along and gave me the motivation I needed to start programming.
And I loved it.
Loved it to the extent that I've reminisced and realised I had wasted the last decade on what I realise now was useless endeavours. I mean sure I met a girl, got married, had a kid blah blah blah, but I realise only now that all of it pales in comparison to my passion for coding. Sorry honey, if you're reading this.
So here I am, in my attempt to make this my full time thing. Follow along as I make a pickle of it. But have a lot of fun doing so.
Oh yeah I should probably say something about my business.
Birchgrove web designs is a web development company focusing on helping small businesses make a statement in the digital era.
Everything we make is hand coded by yours truly. None of that wordpress stuff or drag and drop website builders. Everything is made custom for you, by me.
In doing so I can ensure the performance of your website is top notch. Ever load a page and it takes forever and you give up and try another link? Think about how many people may have done it to your existing website.
NO MORE I SAY!
Not that I'm disparaging wordpress or those things, but the ease of use with such no code tools comes with performance hits. Sure in the age of fast internet, you may think it isn't such a big deal. But not everyone has great internet. Not everyone has great hardware.
100% Hand coded websites - ensuring only the things you need are included - can ensure that even the least technical person can view your business website on their potato computer and their dial up internet.
And there it is, if you're wondering, the reason why the blog image is a potato.
